Thomas Gold Miami promo mix 2011

2010 was a watershed year for Germany's rising star, Thomas Gold. He was tipped in the DJ Mag Top 100 by Axwell as “Breakthrough DJ/Producer Of The Year” and backed it up with a relentless release schedule that saw his singles & remixes released through leading electronic labels including Toolroom, Size Records & Dirty South's freshly launched Phazing Records imprint. His Midas touch studio skills are equalled if not superseded by his ability behind the decks which was reflected by a blocked out DJ diary, performing shows across the globe including tours of South America, Australia, Asia, Europe & beyond.

Thomas Gold was a mainstay in the Beatport Top 10 throughout 2010 and things are about to hit the stratosphere in 2011. Right out of the gates Thomas Gold teamed up with Axtone Records chief and Swedish House Mafia member Axwell for a tremendous remix of the Hard Rock Sofa & St. Brothers track “Blow Up.” This one is flying up the Beatport Charts, first as top 10 in the progressive genre and now Top Ten on the allover chart. This one is getting ripe and ready for some heavy duty work all over Miami in March.

Speaking of Miami, Thomas Gold will be front and center this March DJing at a number of high profile events including Robbie Rivera’s Juicy Beach and Dirty South’s Starphazing (both events on March 24) and the much anticipated One Night Stand @ Masquerade Motel mega concert featuring Swedish House Mafia. In addition to the “Blow Up” remix, fans can expect sets packed heavily with Thomas Gold mainstays including his smash Toolroom records EP “Work That / Kananga,” his collaboration with Fatboy Slim entitled ‘Star 69’, “What’s Up” (with Alex Kenji), his original track “Marsch Marsch,” and of course his 2009 remix of Delerium “Silence;” winner of that Beatport’s coveted award for “Best Progressive House Track.”

2011 is set to be jam packed. Its bombs aplenty with Thomas’ just-released remix of Jay C & Felix Baumgartner’s “Souk” (now featured on Toolroom’s Miami Compilation) and a remix of Sander Van Doorn’s “Reach Out” is imminent. On the solo front, Thomas’ next original release has just be signed to Axtone which is set to drop in time for Miami. Further collaborative releases with Kim Fai, Prok & Fitch, David Tort and Alex Kenji have also been confirmed!
