Pete Tong abandona Reino Unido
La voz de este fin de semana a sido sin duda la de Pete Tong anunciando que se traslada a los Ángeles a finales de este mes.
El programa de Pete Tong se emite en mas de 80 emisoras en Estados Unidos.
También se esta utilizando este concepto para llevar el talento europeo underground en grandes eventos por Estados Unidos. El 28 de Septiembre es el anfitrión en el “TomorrowWorld y que cuenta también con: Breach, Maya Jane Coles, Joris Voorn y Michel de Hey.
Pero ¿Qué significa todo esto para el Reino Unido? La noticia es que Tong continuará emitiendo su programa semanal en la BBC Radio 1 junto con The Essential Mix, pero grabados en los EE.UU..

“I’m looking forward to being based in Los Angeles. The electronic dance music scene in the USA has reached a critical mass and the opportunities for our world are taking us into uncharted territory. I feel now it’s essential to be in the middle of all that. LA is an inspiring and creative city where content is king and I look forward to giving the rest of the world a more detailed insight into what’s going on (in the USA) whilst also looking for better opportunities to represent all the brilliant new artists/ producers and DJ’s breaking through in the UK and Europe. I have been involved in radio throughout my career and I think this fresh perspective is going to enable me to make some very exciting shows.”
