His recorded works have been achieved, in recent years, the highest positions in the list of sales, publishing in the best world music labels such as Sony BMG, Warner, Universal, Ultra, Defected, Spinnin, Stricly Rhythm, Vale Music , Pacha Recordings among others.

Muere el pionero de la música house, Frankie Knuckles

El 'disc jockey' y productor Frankie Knuckles ha fallecido a los 59 años en Chicago, aparentemente por complicaciones en la diabetes que padecía, según informa Billboard.

Conocido como 'The Godfather of House', Knuckles es considerado como uno de los fundadores de la escena house que surgió tras el declive de la música disco a principios de los 80.
Frankie Knuckles desarrolló principalmente su actividad en un club de Chicago llamado The Warehouse, precisamente del que la música house tomó su nombre, y donde sonaban clásicos de la música disco y de la electrónica europea.


Nacido en el Bronx (Nueva York en 1955), Knuckles comenzó su carrera como pinchadiscos en los 70, antes de mudarse a Chicago. También tuvo una prolífica carrera como productor y remezclador, y fundó Def Mix Productions con David Morales, llegando a trabajar con Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Whitney Houston, Chaka Khan y En Vogue.
