FESTIVAL CANCELADO

LA INSUFICIENTE VENTA DE ENTRADAS OBLIGA A LA CANCELACIÓN DEL FESTIVAL
AL NO LLEGAR A LAS CIFRAS NECESARIAS PARA HACER EL PROYECTO VIABLE

Que la crisis económica afecta a la cultura es un hecho, y en la música está claro que también pasa factura, en especial en los nuevos proyectos. Esta misma semana corrían rumores de cancelación de otros festivales, y a cuatro días de que tuviera lugar la primera edición de La Sierra Electrónica, nos vemos obligados a cancelar debido a la insuficiente venta anticipada de entradas. Un total de 1.800 entradas anticipadas es la cifra que presenta ahora mismo el festival, haciendo inviable su puesta en marcha según la previsión de ventas necesarias para poder desarrollar el proyecto. Gran parte de la magia de un festival de estas características es el calor humano que genera el propio público participante, y en el espacio de este festival, con dos escenarios dimensionados para un total de 10.000 personas, las poco más de 2.000 personas que preveíamos podrían asistir encontrarían a faltar algo tan básico como es el ambiente festivo propio de los festivales de música electrónica.

De este modo, y ante la necesidad de no decepcionar ni a público ni a artistas, nos vemos obligados a tomar la dura decisión de cancelar el festival. Queda pues aparcado, al menos este año, un nuevo festival que se presentaba el pasado 16 de Mayo en Madrid, y en el que se han puesto muchas horas de trabajo y dedicación, pero al que no han acompañado las previsiones de venta establecidas para poderlo llevar a cabo con éxito.

Desde Doctor Music queremos agradecer la implicación de DJ’s, agentes, managers, equipos de producción y todo el personal que ha estado trabajando para ofrecer un nuevo evento con vistas de futuro en la Comunidad de Madrid. Así mismo, agradecemos el apoyo incondicional del Ayuntamiento de Collado Villalba, medios colaboradores y todos los seguidores que habían comprado ya sus entradas para vivir esa primera edición del festival.

Pese a esta cancelación, en Doctor Music seguimos apostando por la música en directo e intentaremos buscar la fórmula para intentar llevar a buen puerto, para verano del 2014, la primera edición de La Sierra Electrónica, al tiempo que seguiremos planeando nuevas propuestas para poder llevar a cabo en el futuro y compartirlas con todos vosotros.

Quien no arriesga no gana, no hay más, pero esta vez no ha sido posible.

Para todos los que ya habían comprado su entrada, daros las gracias una vez más por confiar en nosotros y comunicaros que el importe se podrá recuperar a partir de mañana a través de los mismos puntos de venta donde fueron adquiridas. La devolución de las entradas de venta online se efectuará automáticamente.
